Winter park day 6

We were up early early early to pack up! We miraculously were ready to go at about 8:30, so we dropped off our key to our beautiful condo and hit the mountains. It was wonderful to have a clear day to watch the mountains! We had a nice photo shoot.
We stopped in Denver to see the cathedral and early lunch at the Tap Room to see their 75 traps. We hit up Walmart for some new activities for small travelers and continued our trek across Colorado.
We took a car break in Burlington at the most amazing Space Ship park. Everyone needed a run around and it provided ample exercise for all!
On to Hays, then home!!

Winter park day 5

Wake up, breakfast of eggs and salami, we got our together and went out if the most beautiful hike up the mountains. It rained, it snowed and was Georgeous!!!!
Home to eat lunch, and hit the pool. Then to nap, and a fabulous dinner at Hernando's. Pizza and beer- delish! Home to play cards and hit the hay. We leave tomorrow!

Winter park day 4

Breakfast of eggs (salami for Sophia!) and a 6am wake up for the girls and Elizabeth. After communal coffee and food the Leaches went out on a gorgeous nature hike fill of snowmen and beautiful views. We stopped at the mountain grind cafe for fudge and coffee as well as out door play activities for the kids.
Then Liz finished her work and joined us in time for play at the town park followed by lunch at the amazing hot dog restaurant in town. We tried so hard to go last year but it was never open. What a treat this year!!! A few drizzles forced a retreat to our car then a quick stop at the liquor store and thrift shop. We returned home to hit the pool.
Pool time turned into nap time/ Elizabeth's first viewing of Frozen. Once everyone woke up, we went to dinner at the Library pub. Lots of whiskey drinks followed! There was one other table occupied at the restaurant and they had kids. Once everyone was settled the dad and little girl came over to introduce themselves and asked if the kids wanted to play together! It was such a pleasant dinner! :) The new friend, Sophia and Monica all played with toys on the floor while the respective families enjoyed their dinners together. Naturally when we left Monica freaked out because she thought no one had eaten dinner! :). The kids ate their to go food at home and Shaw put a fire together. We ended the lovely day with s'mores and bedtime. Shaw and I had a chance to hit the hot tub after bedtime, then finished the evening watching the finale of Brooklyn 99. Such a lovely day!

Winter park day 3

All kids and Shaw slept in this morning!! I woke up around 6 to a very peaceful morning enjoying the mist over the mountains. I was shortly followed by Elizabeth. After everyone was up we made delicious eggs and coffee and prepared our adventure.
We walked down to the little town to show Elizabeth our favorite places. We played on the park downtown as well as the beloved skate park. Everyone loved the climbing wall and the view! So breathtaking.
We returned home around 10 for lunch and a nap for Gus. Early I know but we were famished. Sophia had her traditional pbj and everyone else had turkey, salami and cheese.
After some Doc McStuffins and a nap for me we headed down to the pool. It was Gus's first time and he did so well! We purchased new floaties for the girls and at least Sophia liked them. It was a nice warm pool and it was enjoyed by all.
Shaw went back to the condo for Gus's nap. We all rested and then headed out for our dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant.
Cashew chicken, sesame chicken and Pho for the table after dumplings and crab Rangoon. Liz ordered the favorite meal with noodles, mine was the healthiest with lots of veggies, but Shaw's was the most delicious.
Hinge for an early bedtime for the kids, and a date night for us! We walked the 17 minutes to the movie theater to see the new avenger's movie, then home for bedtime! Whew!
